changing alternator pulley

Does anyone know where in the Bay Area that can change an alternator pulley on a jrsc gsr? cuz I been looking for shops but they are either busy for the next few weeks or they don't touch modified cars. tia

Go to the Home Depot or Lowes and buy one of compressor / tools combo kit along with a decent impact gun. I bought a kit about 3 years ago for $200 with a cheap nailer and some other accessories and have been expanding the collection ever since. I recently bought a 400 ft/lb Craftsman impact gun to remove my crank pulley and have never been happier. Used an air chisel a few months ago to whack off welded nuts in order to install the Type R rear sway bar. The tools are great and will last a lifetime if properly taken care of.

I bought an electric impact wrench from Harbor Freight and Tool for $70.

Worked perfect.

I can find shops...its just they are all busy....and they want to do it either 2 weeks from now or on days that I have to work late.....so I decided to go get a impact gun and use my friends air compressor....hopefully it won't be so bad to install the stepper pulley.

damn....I dunno what is wrong with my alternator...but I bought a craftsman impact gun and tried to shoot the thing out and no luck....so I had to put my car back together...what a waste of time.

What was the reverse rating on gun it ft/lbs? Make sure you oil the gun real well, turn up the compresssor to around 100 psi, and make sure that the socket fits real tight. It should come right off.
